About our data
The markets on LearnNifty are simulated. Paper Trading, Market X-Ray, the strategy pages and the famous-day markets all use the same models. Their prices move the way a market moves, but they are not exchange prices. The dates, index levels, lot sizes and charges follow the exchange's published rules.
How the prices are made
The Paper Trading desk runs simulated markets.
Market X-Ray shows option prices and open interest from the same models. Open interest is the number of contracts still open.
Each day starts from that day's NIFTY index path and India VIX. India VIX measures how much the market expects prices to swing.
So the prices look like a market's prices. They are not exchange prices.
The strategy pages and the famous-day markets are made the same way.
What follows the published rules
The dates and the NIFTY index levels follow the exchange's published records.
Each day uses the lot size in force on that day. A lot is the fixed quantity in one contract.
The charges follow the published rates for that date.
The NISM practice questions are written from the public exam syllabus.
